Will you pledge to sponsor me in the 2009 MS Walk?

A quick time out from my usual silliness to address a cause that’s affected me personally, and I feel really strongly about…

Why I’m participating in the 2009 MS Walk

MS is a chronic, incurable disease that eats away at the nervous system. I am walking on behalf of three family members: my father, Paul, diagnosed when I was 7; my sister, Stephanie, diagnosed early last year; and my uncle, David, diagnosed a few years ago. Despite the disease’s crippling setbacks, these three are some of the toughest people I know, and I would love to see a cure found within their lifetimes.

Why you should donate to the National MS Society

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society will use funds collected from Walk MS to not only support research for a cure tomorrow, but also to provide programs which address the needs of people living with MS today. Because we choose to walk for those who sometimes can’t, because we choose to donate to Walk MS, we are getting closer to the hour when no one will have to hear the words, “You have MS.”

In 2008, I raised approximately $750, and this year I’d like to double that if I can. I greatly appreciate any amount you’re willing to give, no matter how small!

As always, all proceeds from the Foods Before Dudes merch shop will go directly towards this cause as well.
