Knocked Up writer may pen new Muppet Show series!

According to the Sun, Kermit & company may soon return to the small screen, following the release of an upcoming Muppet movie penned by Jason Segel— a.k.a. “that guy from Freaks and Geeks who wrote Knocked Up and Forgetting Sarah Marshall.”

From the article:

“Jason is a massive Muppets fan and is seen as the man to finally bring The Muppet Show back to TV.

“The movie plot involves all the Muppets uniting to save their studio with one last variety show. The plot opens the door for a full TV series.

“If the movie script is popular Jason will write the TV series too. He is already coming up with ideas for it.”

How exciting is this?! Full article here.
