World’s oldest shark in captivity dies at Coney Island

Bertha, a sand tiger shark who had lived at the New York Aquarium at Coney Island since the 1960s and was believed to be one of the oldest sharks in any aquarium in the world, died on Saturday. Her age was estimated at 43 years old.
