Frances Bean Cobain hearts musicals and shoes!

So everybody’s freaking out this week about Frances Bean Cobain’s Harper’s Bazaar interview in which she’s made-up as Evita and Rizzo from Grease (more photos here).

The pretty mix of Kurt and Courtney’s best physical traits is 15 now and — based on the quotes used in the article — a well-spoken little fashionista who’s totally psyched about musicals! Cute. And she seems grounded enough, you know, considering — though she does claim a shoe shopping addiction 20x worse than Carrie Bradshaw’s (gateway drug??).

Frances sums it up best when she says in the interview: “These people are fascinated by me, but I haven’t done anything… I’m famous by default. I came out of the womb and people wanted to know who I was because of my parents. If you’re a big Nirvana fan, a big Hole fan, then I understand why you would want to get to know me, but I’m not my parents. People need to wait until I’ve done something valid with my life.”

Word, girl. And that’s exactly why I was more interested in what she had to say back in Summer 06 when she showed up for an ELLE photo shoot in Kurt’s old pajamas, tacky as it was.
