Songs that make the bitter cold less bitter

It’s freezing out there! And the only things making my time outside somewhat bearable are my various playlists, made up of songs that sound extra-good through headphones & are especially nice to walk around the bitter cold city to.

So, happy holidays — these are the songs I’m overplaying lately when I’m all bundled up & cursing the weather. Most aren’t especially new, but the list itself kind of personifies this month for me. Anyway feel free to download each by clicking on its link. Enjoy!

“Fake Empire” by the National

“Blankest Year” by Nada Surf

“Magic Trick” by M. Ward and Zooey Deschanel

“Strange Powers” by The Magnetic Fields

“Junk Bond Trader” by Elliott Smith

“Call It Off” by Tegan & Sara

“Herculean” by The Good, The Bad & The Queen

“Middleman” by Bright Eyes

“Toxic Holiday” by Stars

“I’ve Made Enough Friends” by The Wrens

“See You Soon” by Coldplay
