Historic recipe for homemade PB cups!
My oldest friend Sara and I celebrated 20 years of friendship last year! Insane. In those 20 years I’ve become close enough with her family that they let me in on their secret recipe for “quick fudge,” which is actually a lot like a homemade peanut butter cup. We brought these to a movie night at another pal’s house this weekend, and they were a huge hit!
This is the ACTUAL SCAN of the decades-old typewritten recipe, mistakes and all. An authentic historical artifact. (Click on it to enlarge.)
We used a double-boiler to melt the chocolate to pour over the top. Also I’m not sure why it specifies margarine; I’m sure butter would be OK too. The hardest part of the whole ordeal was cutting them into squares, but I think that’s cause Sara and I are kind of morons sometimes.
Anyway people will die for these and be so impressed with you, even though it’s no-bake so you hardly had to do any work. Perfect for dumb holiday parties where you’re forced to bring a treat to share.
